Areas of past work

Clean-energy R&D often lives or dies on whether the underlying physics can be made to work at useful efficiency, current density, or scale. Simulation is one of the few ways to answer those questions before committing to hardware.

Novel solar

Contributed simulation work to a novel solar technology in development.

Flow batteries

Worked on modeling for multiple flow-battery chemistries and cell architectures, including transport, electrochemistry, and crossover effects relevant to grid-scale storage.

Fusion modeling

Co-author on a journal article in Physics of Plasmas on a windowless gas-target concept (“Lasergate”) for laser preheat in magnetized liner inertial fusion (MagLIF).
