Bio
I'm a computational engineer with over a decade of consulting experience modeling complex physical systems including novel solar technologies, blood-contacting medical devices, microfluidic diagnostics, electrochemical storage, and fusion-target physics. My background combines a chemical engineering education with computational and mathematical training, and the work I do now sits squarely at the intersection of those two worlds.
Before founding Spann Engineering Consulting LLC, I spent several years as a Principal at Veryst Engineering, working across industries on simulation problems where the answer mattered enough to demand a careful model rather than a back-of-the-envelope estimate.
What I enjoy most is what I do now: taking on hard, well-scoped engineering problems for clients who care about getting the right answer, and using whatever combination of FEA, custom code, and AI tooling will get them there.
